Illumination

ASSIGNMENTt: Create an illuminated letter.

Steps:       

1. Complete the handout "Who Am I" in order to get ideas for your illumination.
2. Select the letter you want to illuminate, perhaps your initial since the illlumination will be about you.
3. On 12” X 12” white paper, draw your typeface (initial).
4. Select a theme with which you will illuminate (decorate) your letter. The illumination should include something about yourself. You may also include other ideas - mythological creature, or a variety of plants, etc.

Materials:
            Handout – “Who am I?”
            Pencils, erasers & rulers
            A black felt tip marker
            12”X12” white drawing paper
            Colored pencils for color and gold crayon for gold leaf
            PowerPoint presentation “Illumination”
