Composition is the arrangement of elements on a format.
Good composition takes time and thought.
Use the geometric forms you created using pencil value to make a composition that appears to have depth (goes back in space).
1. Cut out forms
2. Arrange the forms so that they appear to have space and depth between them.
Here is a list of characteristics that objects have as they recede in space:Overlapping - by partially covering one object with another it gives an appearance of depth.
Placement on page – The higher an object is on the page, the farther away from the viewer it appears
Size - smaller objects seem farther away3. Glue forms to format
4. Use a ruler to draw a horizon line high on the format.
