Gesture Drawing

Composition

ASSIGNMENT:

Compose at least five gesture drawn figures. Create an original abstract background (negative space)

STEPS:

1. Students spend one class period learning to gesture draw poses classmates

2. Next class period, student chooses at least five best gesture drawings

3. Cut out selected poses, arrange in interesting composition on 18"x24" paper.

4. Use markers to create an abstract background
5. Emphasis should be placed on the figures.
