Creative Portraits

ASSIGNMENT:

Draw a diagram of an adult head - measure/mark/label. Include neck, shoulders and hair.

STEPS:

    1. Draw oval/egg shape
    2. Mark with a line 1/2 between top and bottom of oval.
    3. Divide space between eyes and chin into thirds
    4. 1/3 down from eyes, draw nose
    5. 2./3 down from eyes, draw mouth.
    6. Draw neck and shoulders
    7. Don't forget eyebrows, ears, hair
    8. Use pencil value to model form

GRADE:

eyes -center
nose - 1/3 down from center
mouth 2/3 from center chin
oval, ears, hair, eyebrows, etc
