ASSIGNMENT: Use Appleworks Paint program to create a portrait in the style of Andy Warhol.
1. Open a new draw document in MicroSoft Works.
2. Save as "photo, last name, first name".
3. Under Insert menu, pull down to picture...
4. Navigate to virtual share and to your photograph
6. Double click on your photo to insert it into your drawing document.
7. Transfer you photo from the draw mode that it is in to the paint mode so that you can work on it.
Go to edit menu and pull down to select all.
Go to edit menu and pull down to cut.
Select the Paint Mode Icon.
Your cursor should change to cross hairs when you place it over your document.
Click and drag to draw a small rectangle. A pencil will appear in place of your cursor. You are now in paint mode.
8. Go to edit menu and pull down to Paste.
9. Select the Selection Arrow and move your photo to the center of the screen.
10. Double click on your photo to return to the paint mode.
11. Go to Tools menu and pull down to Paint Effects.
Experiment with the submenu items to find the look that you prefer.
OR
11a. skip the Paint Effects and begin coloring your photo.
